cake care
a few simple things to keep your cake at its best, from the moment you collect it to the moment it’s served.
always lift the cake box from the bottom, keeping it level at all times. never lift or carry it by the top or sides.
if the weather is warm, transport the cake in an air-conditioned vehicle. drive carefully, avoiding sudden stops, sharp turns and bumps wherever possible. the safest place for the cake is on the floor in front of the passenger seat.
keep the cake in the fridge, away from direct sunlight, heat and moisture.
take it out 1–2 hours before serving. for the best flavour and texture, serve at room temperature.
store any leftover cake in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 2 days.
